This is a round Arab buckle with a much smaller teardrop pendant hanging by a loop from the bottom. The buckle is backed by silver on which four round, brownish-red semi-precious gems of carnelian, outlined with two circles of twisted silver, alternate with four, royal-blue enamel ovals, outlined with a single border of twisted silver. Together the alternating carnelian and enamel ovals appear as petals in a flower with a round carnelian in the center, set in somewhat more elaborate silver rims, appearing as if it has been raised from the buckle by a thin sliver pin. Between the carnelians and blue enamel, background splashes of light green enamel alternate with small silver triangles decorated with multiple raised tiny circles. A continuous rim of small silver beads outlines the outside circumference of the buckle. Each blue enamel oval also has a row of four small silver beads bisecting its length. The pendant below has small silver loops at its top and bottom and bands of silver surround the teardrop shaped carnelian in its center.
