This Italian cushion upholstery fabric dates from the 17th to 18th century and is embroidered plain weave linen, silk, leather, and cotton. It is approximately 39.5 by 24 inches. The upper and lower thirds of this fabric have blue and red flowers along with green and red leaves and vines seen against a brown background. There are several rows of geometric patterns that run horizontally across the mid-section of this piece. The outer edge has a fringed border of alternating burgundy and tan threads.
