This is a black and white photograph of part of the north and east walls of the Raphael Room in 1903. The brocade-covered east wall faces the viewer, where Raphael’s ‘Tomasso Inghirami,’ Botticelli’s ‘The Story of Lucretia,’ and Carlo Crivelli’s ‘Saint George Slaying the Dragon’ all hang above a table with two chairs in front, facing out to the viewer. In the corner to our left, mounted on a small easel, is Raphael's drawing ‘Procession of Pope Sylvester I.’ A few feet in front of that work, Raphael’s ‘Lamentation over the Dead Christ’ is also mounted on an easel. The floors are dark wood and a rug is placed over it, off frame to the right. On the right side of the image, the entryway into the Short Gallery is dark and visible.
