Commentary
Isabella purchased paneling from the Venetian Palazzo Morosini (F18w3.1-22) through the antique dealer Antonio Settini and installed it in the Little Salon. These photographs were part of Settini’s sales pitch. Venice was Isabella’s favorite city, and she undoubtedly took great joy in creating the ambiance of an 18th-century Venetian interior in her museum.
