This horizontal print on paper is dominated by five figures, four seated and one standing. At the center of the seated figures is one with a halo, which the handwritten inscription at the bottom left indicates is St. Francis. The other seated figures turn toward him. The standing figure has his back toward us and is pointing toward the haloed figure. The figures mostly wear tattered clothing or robes, and they wear sandals or have bare feet. The rest of the print, behind and to the right of the figures, is occupied by architecture and scattered, roughly drawn plants and flowers. The printed inscription at the center bottom is Holzschnitt von Wolf Traut. Aus Nr. 5318.
