This is a stamp used for making impressions on leather. The stamp is placed on a gray stone. At the top of the stone, two diagonals are carved to a point and the left and right sides of the stone are carved straight down. The stamp is placed on top of the stone and carved in the image of an anchor with a dolphin-like creature wrapped around the shaft. The brass is a brown color with some remnants of gilding throughout. The stamp is carved in an unnatural shape with a curved bottom where the anchor rests and uneven undulating sides.
