This print of Isabella Stewart Gardner shows her with her dogs, Kitty Wink and Patty Boy, in sepia tones. Mrs. Gardner is dressed in a long high-collared white dress and a large white hat. The details of her face are hard to make out. She is seated outdoors in a slightly reclined position on a concrete bench next to a staircase.  Her dogs are seated on each side of her.  The dog to our left is small black and white dog and the dog to our right is a darker, larger and shaggy-haired. There is a marble sculpture of a torso in the background along with trees and foliage.  Inscribed in ink on verso in the upper left is: “Mrs. Gardner”.  Inscribed in pencil on verso in the upper section is: “in white with 2 dogs at/Green Hill (taken by Swift?), in the center is: “#13/ of ISG Alone’ Photographs”.  Also inscribed in pencil on verso at the bottom are: “Swift” and “extra print”.
