This postcard depicts six winged children each wearing a white dress decorated with small gold stars and perched on white clouds against a medium blue background, also featuring stars. In the lower center is a child standing on a small cloud facing away from the viewer with its arms raised. This child holds a small tan baton in its right hand, as if conducting a musical performance. Five other winged children are arranged in a semi-circle around this standing angel. Four of them are seated on a cloud and playing an instrument. Counter-clockwise: a horn, cymbals, a violin, and a drum. A fifth child, to our left, sits on a cloud and appears to be singing while holding sheet music in its lap. In the bottom right and left corners are white and green candelabras perched on a small cloud. They feature glowing yellow candles arranged in a triangle shape, they are propped on a red stand in a cross shape and evoke Christmas trees. “HMS” is printed on the bottom left corner. Printed across the bottom on the white border is: “Herzliche Weihnachtsgrüße.” Printed in ink on verso at the bottom left is “B.K.W.I. 3193--2.”  Handwritten is: “and best wishes for a happy New Year from your old and devoted Friend, Wilhelm Gericke”.
