The male figure to our left is seen from the knees up wearing a dark coat with tails and a white high collared shirt with a blue tie around his neck.  He has light skin, brown curly hair, long sideburns and a mustache.  His head is tilted in a slight upward direction and his right arm is down at his side.  He points to himself with the thumb of his left hand.  The woman stands behind a table with her left hand resting on it.  Her right hand rests on her right hip.  She wears a dress that has puffy sleeves with white trim at the scooped neckline and cuffs.  She has pale skin, red lips and brown curly hair in a low bun.   She wears small earrings and two bracelets on her left arm.  Both figures cast small shadows against the plain background.  The artist’s signature and some French text are visible at the bottom of this image.
