One side of this Japanese folding fan with bamboo ribs is painted gold with pink cloud-like shapes brushed across the paper. Delicate white orchids and their greenery are painted over the pink clouds. On the opposite side of the fan, the same gold and pink background supports a green grasshopper in the center. The guard of the fan has teardrop design cutouts on both sides, so you can see the pink paper underneath.
