This French fan is made of silk and sequins with ivory ribs. The sequins are arranged in floral and garland motifs across the middle of the cream silk fan. Rows of small sequins are found along the edge and along some of the ribs of the fan. The reverse side of the fan is plain. The ribs are decorated with carved vines with a blue feathery decoration towards the fan. The guard is carved with vines and edged with blue.
