Join us in abundance and community on the evening of Wednesday, June 26 to celebrate Pride and the opening of the Gardner’s Summer Exhibitions: On Christopher Street: Transgender Portraits by Mark Seliger; Portraits From Boston, With Love, featuring photographs by Mark Seliger, Olivia Slaughter, Jaypix Belmer, and Ally Schmaling; and Hakeem Adewumi: Possession of A Recalcitrant Dream, 2024

This magical evening is hosted in partnership with the Gardner Museum, The Theater Offensive, and Neon Calypso, legendary Mother of the House of Calypso. Enjoy a special after-hours viewing of all exhibitions with programming throughout the evening featuring a DJ set by DJ Rayvino, electrifying performances by the iconic House of Calypso featuring House Mother Neon Calypso, and daughters Killah Croc, Izzy Ready, and Hazel Afrodite, and beautiful photo opportunities in the Museum’s Studio, with custom mocktails in the Museum’s Café G

Dress code is festive, so come as you are! QTBIPOC visitors and allies are invited to enjoy and explore. This night is for individuals 18+ and RSVPs are required. RSVP here by June 24, 2024.

This Community Night and other programs are organized in partnership with The Theater Offensive and in connection with the Gardner’s Summer Exhibitions On Christopher Street: Transgender Portraits by Mark Seliger and Portraits From Boston, With Love (June 13 - September 8) and Hakeem Adewumi: Possession of a Recalitrant Dream, 2024 (June 4 - October 1, 2024). This Community Night is offered as part of the Gardner Museum’s ongoing commitment to support LGBTQIA+ artists and communities and create an inclusive space of belonging in Boston.
