This is a horizontal pastoral landscape oil painting on a panel. In the foreground we see a green and orange pasture on which brown, black, and white cows graze. A small stream traverses the center and a low, rustic bridge arches over the stream with various low bushes and grasses covering the ground. On the horizon at our right, a row of silvery-leaved trees rise slightly into the sky. Closer to the center of the painting two small windmills can be seen in the distance, and on our left another building is silhouetted against the sky. The sky, which fills the majority of the panel has only a few patches of bright blue, especially in the center of the painting, coming through the various layers of clouds.
