Throughout the Museum
Join us for a final visit to Persona: Photography and the Re-Imagined Self on this May Free First Thursday. Take part in art making and community conversation in exploration of not only your own alter ego, but the personas others take on in response to our society and culture.
Program
Persona Totems
5–8 pm, Bertucci Education Studio
Join us in the studio and create a small, aspirational artwork that will remind you of the persona you might like to share with the world. Using our curated assortment of collage materials, craft a unique totem, complete with a hidden affirmation, to carry with you or display in the space of your choosing.
Music in the Courtyard
6:30 pm and 7:30 pm, Palace
Let vibrant melodies by harpist Franziska Huhn be the soundtrack to your exploration of Isabella’s galleries.
The Motherhood Exchange: An Intimate and Universal Community Conversation
7–8:30 pm, Calderwood Hall
What is a mother? What does motherhood mean to you? Join us for an exchange of ideas on the persona of “mother” facilitated by exhibiting artist Jamie Diamond and Heather Ann Paxson, Associate Dean for Faculty, MIT School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
