Persona: Photography and the Re-Imagined Self; Picturing Isabella; and Jamie Diamond: Monstra Te Esse Matrem, 2026

Tuesday
February 17, 2026

6:30 - 9 pm

Since the 1920s, artists have used photography to create and share alter egos. Persona: Photography and the
Re-Imagined Self gathers historical and contemporary images by artists who engage with a persona. Ranging from playful to political to aspirational, these images examine culture, gender, or stereotypes, and ask us to expand our perceptions of society and ourselves.

This exhibition is co-curated by Pieranna Cavalchini, Tom and Lisa Blumenthal Curator of Contemporary Art and Melissa Harris, editor-at-large, Aperture Foundation.
