        Verbena bonariensis
Verbena bonariensis shows off its fragrant purple flowers atop tall, slender square stems that lean toward the light, branching into candelabra forms. This drought-tolerant ornamental is popular for attracting butterflies and other pollinators to gardens. Gardner Museum horticulturists grow Verbena from seed each spring for its late-summer Courtyard display.
