This lush vertical tapestry depicts a large chateau in the background with gardens in the mid- and foreground, all surrounded by a decorative floral border. The chateau is a stone building adorned with a portico on each side, set in front of shrubbery covered rolling landscape and mountains in the distance. In front of the chateau is a large symmetrical garden with paths dividing it into sections. The sections contain plants and some have palm trees. To the left and right of the gardens are open arcades. Figures can be seen strolling along the arcades. At the front edge of the garden is a prominent, multi-level stone fountain. In the center of the basin is a tall sculpture with two, long-neck ducks spouting water, and a statue of a naked woman at the top.  Framing this scene is an arbor with an openwork arch covered with greenery, fruits, and flowers and held up by four posts. Each post is made up of a sculpture of a tan figure standing on a rectangular base. The two front, female figures face forward and each has a thick vine curving around her body. The two rear figures face away, are armless, and wear a drape around their waists. On the beams rest urns with flowering plants. A grey sky appears in the distance.  A light-skinned man stands to the left of the arbor. He wears a blue jacket over a red shirt and a blue hat. In his left hand, he holds the leash of a white dog. To the right of the arbor, a couple strolls back toward the garden. The woman wears a full-length, apricot colored robe with white trim. The man wears  a light blue jacket and a dark blue hat, and carries a beige wrap over his right arm. Under the arbor, to the left, a couple faces forward. A light-skinned, heavy-set man with long hair and a beard stands to the left of a woman. He wears a yellow jacket and a yellow hat. The light-skinned woman wears a gold gown over a blue underskirt. She has what appear to be flowers in her hair and holds what might be a fan in her left hand. To the right, another couple sits on the grass. A light-skinned man leans back into the woman he is with.  He wears a blue and white stripped jacket. He gestures with his right hand, and is looking up at the standing couple. The woman wears a long white dress and a straw hat is next to her on the grass. Further in the foreground, running horizontally, is a park area with flowering plants, and large birds, including a peacock. The border has a soft gold background and is decorated with variously shaped urns holding flowering plants along  both sides. Tied pink bows with a medallion in the center appear in the top corner of each side. A similar floral motif appears across the top and bottom as well.
