Hydrangea paniculata boasts large, conical blooms that emerge pale green, gradually become white, and age to a soft pink as the day lengths dwindle. Gardner horticulturists overwinter the Hydrangeas in cold frames to allow the potted shrubs to experience dormancy yet protect them from the snow and ice of winter.
