A quartet of tree ferns anchors the corners of the mosaic. These prehistoric, statuesque plants join the ensemble of ancient sculptures in framing the Courtyard year round. Isabella Stewart Gardner grew tree ferns at her home at Green Hill in Brookline, MA.
