This is a platinum print of Anna Pavlova. She is photographed from the top of her head to just below her shoulders. She is fair-skinned, with chin-length dark hair, a prominent nose, and full dark lips. She wears a thin headband around her head that sits just below her hairline on her forehead. Her eyes are closed and her eyelids are decorated with dark makeup. Her head is turned three-quarters to our right, exposing the right half of her face and shadowing the left half from the light source coming from our left. The entire image is slightly fuzzy and out of focus.
