Standing just under three feet high, this pair of painted and gilded pedestals are displayed on either side of the fireplace in the Veronese Room. The pedestals are made up of three segments—the top, rounded part, a middle post, and the tripod-style base. The tops have a round, flat surface which tapers in and down from the rim to form a bowl shape. The outside of the bowl is painted and has a decorative gilded band around the middle and a gilded base. The round post is painted in what appears to be a dark shade of green. Gilded banding adorns the bottom of the post. The three carved wooden legs project out from a center section, under which a gilded pineapple shape is suspended. The gilded claw feet rest on a triangular base.
