This pair of mahogany and satinwood vitrines flank a covered table in the Little Salon. These rectangular wooden cases, with glass tops straight spindle legs, are placed vertically next to the table. The view from the top of one vitrine reveals objects including Japanese covered boxes decorated in matte tones of plum, grey, and gold, a small ceramic bowl, a gold fan spread open, and a small framed photograph. The view from the top of the other vitrine reveals an assortment of jewelry including ceramic bracelets, pendant earrings, ornate broches and other pins, including one with a cameo, an intricately carved metal necklace, and a blue and white ceramic snuff holder. In the center of this case is a plum-colored rectangular box with a thin gold border and latch.
