This small, quatrefoil shaped, silver medallion has a relief image of a man in profile facing left. He appears to be kneeling in a large shallow box.  His legs are mostly hidden inside the box and he is holding the box’s hinged lid with both hands. The man has an elongated neck and head with a close cropped beard and a high forehead leading to a receded hairline, and a long thin nose. Although his body is in profile view, his head is slightly rotated and lifted so both of his eyes look toward the viewer. His arms are unnaturally thin and his torso shows his ribs causing him to appear emaciated. The box in which he sits is decorated with a row of three circular medallions on the lid and three more on the side presented to the viewer. Traces of gilding remain. On either side of the plaque are small holes.
