This card of white paper is a printed concert program. All of the text is printed in black ink in all uppercase letters. In the top center is the word “programme”. On the left side, each on different lines with a few blank lines between them, are printed four sequential Roman numerals followed by composer’s names: “Bach”, “Mozart”, “Chausson", and “Shumann”. In an adjacent column on the right side of the card, one line down from their associated composer, are printed a list of musical works: “Chorale”, “Overture to the Magic Flute”, “VIviane Symphonic Poem”, and “Overture Scherzo Finale”. In the lower center, the location and date of the concert are printed on three separate lines: “Fenway Court, January The First, MDCCCCIII”

Commentary
This program records the musical performances which took place at the opening of Fenway Court, the name used for the Museum during Isabella Stewart Gardner’s lifetime, on 1 January 1903. The second piece performed was the overture of The Magic Flute, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — an opera that was especially beloved by Isabella.
