This vertical rectangular photo print depicts Alexander Diloti and Frantz Liszt posed in a domestic setting. The figures are centered with Diloti standing next to the seated figure of Liszt. Diloti leans slightly forward with his left arm bent and resting on the carved wooden chair in which Liszt sits. His right arm is straight, holding a leather-bound book upright on a small table. He has light skin and medium-dark hair. His gaze is directly out to the viewer. Diloti is formally dressed in a white collared shirt, a loosely tied bow tie, a dark jacket over a vest, and matching pants. Liszt sits upright with his arms crossed tightly over his chest. He faces toward our left, and his gaze is also in that direction. His long straight white hair falls down to his shoulders and he has light skin. He wears a white shirt with a stand-up collar, a long dark coat that is partially buttoned, long pants, white socks, and flat shoes. There is a small covered table in our lower left side of the print. Diloti’s book and some papers are on the table. A sconce is on the wall to the left of the figures. Vague images of carvings appear on the wall next to the sconce. Behind Liszt is a narrow table covered with a thick printed fabric. A metal urn holding a large arrangement of flowers is on the table.
