This photograph depicts a group in a clearing with woods in the background. In the center of the photo is a light skinned man with a light-colored top and dark bottoms. He wears a dark hat on his head and holds a shovel with both hands. Behind him and to our right is another man with light skin. He wears a light-colored top, dark bottoms, and a light-colored hat. He is in profile facing to our right and holds a shovel with his right hand. Further behind both men are more figures, but they are too indistinct to make out. The reverse of the photograph bears a handwritten inscription.
