Pair of Candlesticks, 1914
Pewter, 10 x 30.5 cm (3 15/16 x 12 in.)
This pair of identical pewter candlesticks has a wide, flat base. In the center of each is a short, ridged column that has a plain drip pan and socket for a candle. The bottom is incised with the text, W.I. Cowlishaw Boston and the manufacturer’s three-leaf clover logo. These candlesticks show no signs of wear.
