This gold cross hangs from a circular loop through a small circle at the top of the cross. The top of the cross is comprised of three of these gold circles that form a triangle, jutting out slightly. This small triangle of circles rests on top of a larger gold medallion with a hole in the middle, which features three prongs, perhaps for the attachment of a jewel in the center. The medallion features vertical tooling around the hole in the shape of an upside down flame. A slender vertical “neck” connects the top part of the cross to the center. The central part of the cross is circular and looks like a sun that emits slender, curving rays outward, two of which connect to the circle at the top. There is horizontal tooling on the central part of the cross and the raised capital letters "IHS," which are overlayed onto a raised cross carved in the center of the circle. Another slender, vertical neck connects to the bottom of the cross, which features three gold hoops in a triangle formation. The right and left arms of the cross are each slender projections that end with three circles forming a triangle. Small prongs, most likely for holding jewels, are featured on the top, left, and right sides of the triangular formation of circles. Prongs are also featured right next to the triangle formation on the left, right, and bottom necks of the cross.
