This tiny, rectangular stamp box is constructed with a battered and tarnished brass frame around pieces of agate stone. The lid has a hinged brass frame around a single beveled rectangle of agate. The blue-green stone of the lid is dappled and veined with red/orange and contains tiny inclusions. There are also irregular white cloud-like forms in the stone of the lid. The front of the box is a single long, thin piece of agate similar to the lid’s. The back of the box is divided into two sections. There are two pieces of agate with pink, yellow, white and green swirling variegations on the exterior side of the bluish stone and dark green and white swirls on the interior side. The box has four agate ball feet with finials welded to the corners of the frame. The box holds two tiny pieces of paper with a painted daisy and a background of either gray or orange latticework.
