This pair of elaborate scones are similar but not identical. They are made of porcelain and glazed with a wide range of colors over a white ground. The overall shape is oval. Each has a 2D central scene of human figures dressed in formal European 18th century clothing conversing in a verdant landscape. An elaborate 3D frame surrounds these scenes. The frames are composed of intricately molded multicolor flowers leaves, and scroll work outlined in gold on a white porcelain ground. At the top of each frame, a pair of sculptured winged cupids flank an oval medallion painted with a 2D scene of clouds and cupids.  At the bottom of each of the wreath-like frames, four candle cups protrude from curving, swan neck branches. The candelabra are molded with acanthus leaf decorations and 2D and 3D flowers in a predominantly pastel color scheme.
