This plain, 18th-19th Century, glazed ceramic Japanese Tea Bowl has an unusual shape. The bowl is oval, rather than round, and has an uneven, wavy lip. Depending on the perspective from which it is viewed, it can appear to be round or tear-drop shaped. The outside color of the Tea Bowl is light beige with loosely scattered dark brown flecks while the inside is light gray.
