Candle Stand, early 14th century

This above life size, large circular candle stand is ornately decorated with floral scrollwork and features and birds. The circular top features two layers of scroll work with the top featuring longer vertical sticks that jut out above the top and feature flowers and bird silhouettes at the top. The top is held up by a long pole with four evenly spaced horizontal squares along its length. Three rectangular shaped feet form its base on the floor, akin to a claw.
