This silver spoon has a long, slender handle and a wide, circular shallow bowl. The handle has carvings that curve in and out and ends with small bolt-like protrusions on each side. The other end of the handle is pointed and connects halfway down the backside of the bowl of the spoon. The back side of the bowl is inscribed with De 25 September 1800 Wÿplyen Jentjes Slapene Jiooness and a ship with the initials SLS, FBF and T in a circle. Tarnish is visible throughout this piece.
