A miniature oval shaped photographic portrait of a young Jack Gardner, measuring 1 by ¾ inches, in sepia colors. His body is facing forward, but his head is turned slightly to our left. His smooth bowl shaped dark hair stops mid-ear. Dark almond shaped eyes gaze impassively forward. He is light-skinned, has a high forehead, prominent nose, long face, dimpled chin and a large dark moustache. He is wearing what appears to be a gray jacket over a white collared shirt. A small dark bow tie is at his neck. This photograph is surrounded by a golden rectangular frame with a textured surface, embossed flowers, leaves and a repeating leaf motif border.
