This gold filigree puzzle finger ring is from late 19th Century Sumatra. The ring is comprised of a large flat round disc on the top, flanked by two smaller discs where the larger disc rests. Unadorned, small gold rings support the center disc from below and loop around the large plain gold ring that encircles the finger. The center disc is decorated by a ring of five multi-pedaled flower-like sunbursts and a sixth in the middle. Each sunburst has a small round gold ball in its center and a similar gold ball between each of the five sunbursts around the perimeter. The two smaller discs at the sides, partially covered by the large center disc, each have a large sunburst flower in the middle with two smaller sunbursts on either side, again, each with a round gold ball in the center.
