This snuff bottle from Tibet is less than 3 inches tall. The body of the bottle is disc-shaped, and  is made of gilded silver formed into open scrollwork. The gilding is largely worn away so the bottle appears mostly silver with traces of gold. The silver is crafted into an intricate design of intersecting stem and leaf tracery. There is a solid, circular decoration on the front and back containing a flower design with eight round turquoise petals surrounding a larger, central, orange, coral bead.  The wide neck of the bottle, which is solid and decorated with silver scrollwork.  The bottle is topped with a small, rounded cap. The cap has a setting, in silver, for six round, coral beads to surround an additional bead of the same size in the center. One of the surrounding coral beads is missing from the cap and from one of the center decorations.
