This porcelain parrot figurine from the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory in Meissen, Germany, shows a parrot perched on a white tree stump, gazing to our left, past its tail. On the tree stump are short branches with variegated green leaves and red berries. The parrot's body is painted in shades of green. The wing tips show finely detailed feathers in blue and yellow; the tail feathers are brown. The beak is white. The legs are white with black stripes and black claws.
Possibly in the collection of King Ludwig II of Bavaria (1864-1886).
