In this etching, President Grover Cleveland sits at a table on his right with papers and books etched in lightly. He sits sideways in a chair next to the table with his right arm resting on the chair back and his left arm resting on the papers on the table. Cleveland is dressed in a formal three piece suit and bow tie, all deeply etched. His short hair is brushed back and he has a mustache. The wall directly behind him is also deeply etched although the rest of the wall has only lightly etched designs.
Entered Isabella Stewart Gardner's collection at an unknown date.
