Purchased by Isabella Stewart Gardner's husband, John L. Gardner, Jr. (1837–1898), from the antique dealer Consiglio Ricchetti, Venice on 12 August 1890 for 820 lire (for set of four mirrors).
Commentary
Isabella Stewart Gardner kept meticulous records of many of her acquisitions. In keeping with this legacy, object information is continually being reviewed, updated, and enriched in order to give greater access to the collection.
