This green and black-hued Egyptian artifact takes the form of a dung beetle, or Scarab. The relatively flat bottom, which may have served as a seal, bears the crudely carved image in low relief of two horses pulling a wagon made of vertical slates on top of a large wheel, and carrying a driver who holds a long, thin object, possibly a whip or a sword. In the wagon a small, human-like form, possibly a statue, appears to be facing backward. The opposite convex side of the Scarab maintains the appearance of a beetle’s rounded shell with a prominent vertical  furrow near the head and a smaller T-shape marking with the top of the “t”  at the middle of the shell and the perpendicular line running horizontally from the center of the shell almost to the caudal extremity. The lateral sides of the Scarab are scored by straight, horizontal or oblique vertical incisions that occasionally intersect, and are irregular in both depth and width.
