The warrior is standing in the upper section against a ground of white and brown running stitches. The details of their face and outfit are painted. Above the warrior's head is a pale embroidered halo and sitting on their head is a painted floral headdress. Their painted eyes are open, and you can see their eyelashes. Their mouth is in the shape of an "o". There is a necklace of round beads around the warrior's neck. They are wearing a painted gray cape and large coat. The cape is clasped on their chest with a medallion with a flower in the center. Below the cape are two large chains. The warrior's large coat Is decorated with painted red and green flowers and vines. They are holding a sword upright in their right hand, and a shield is resting on their left side. The shield is narrow, and painted with flowers. The warrior's chainmail feet peak out from beneath their coat and cape. The lower section of the piece is a painted inscription: "Gloire A La Sainte A La Grande A La Heroique Russie 1914 1916". A narrow gilt galloon has been sewn aross the top and bottom of the strip, and from the bottom hangs a cinquefoil motif made of gold and gilt cord.
