This is a lidded, oval silver box with intricate decorations. The box is decorated all over with alternating bands of silver beading resembling snail shells that become smaller as the bands descend from the bottom of the lid to the bottom of the box, and a feather-like decoration. The domed lid is repouseed with three birds and foliage. The birds are framed by a rectangular border with rounded corners of small, plain dots.
