This rectangular woven hemp bag is only about an inch deep. It is shaped like a messenger bag with a short woven strap-like handle in the upper center. The bag closes with a curved overlapping woven hemp section that is about a third of the length of the bag. A short braided twist of hemp is sewn to the lower center of the overlap in order to wrap around a metal button and act as a fastener. The hemp braid ends in a three dimensional tassel-shape. There is a length of narrow red, white, and blue striped ribbon attached to the hemp braid fastener.
