This is a French, polychromed, limestone sculpture of a crowned head. This sculpture depicts a faintly smiling face that gazes slightly downward and has dark eyes and eyebrows, a long nose and small lips. It wears a large crown that has remnants of large polychromed jewels across it. This face is framed by a mass of blond curly hair that mostly sits at the eyeline or above, creating a sort of heart shape with the crown and face in the middle.
