Purchased by Isabella Stewart Gardner from the dealer Émile Parès, Madrid, for 10,000 pesetas (with the tomb figure of a knight now in the Spanish Chapel, museum. no. S6e14) in July 1906 (as from the Cathedral of Burgos).
Commentary
Isabella Stewart Gardner kept meticulous records of many of her acquisitions. In keeping with this legacy, object information is continually being reviewed, updated, and enriched in order to give greater access to the collection.
