Discovered in Rome by 1887.
Possibly purchased by Isabella Stewart Gardner from the art dealers Antonio and Alessandro Jandolo, Rome on 28 October 1906. Certainly entered Isabella Stewart Gardner's collection by 1910.
Commentary
