Inscribed in pencil on the visiting card of Mr. Charles Boyden (U17e78) in Isabella Stewart Gardner's hand (kept inside the incense burner): Nieu Tchu - Tai Hising / Made in the period Tao--kouang, in the dynasty of the Tsing (1821-1850).
