Square, lacquered wooden, inkstone box with a lid, decorated with gold detailing. On the lid of the box, slightly off center, is a covered gold carriage. To our left is a tree that hangs over the chariot. It is blooming with many flowers. In the left corner near the tree is a wall with a railing that spills over the lid to the outside of the box. The wall is decorated with large circular flowers and vines. The inside of the lid features a full landscape in gold, depicting tall patches of grass, a small pond, and cranes flying overhead and resting by the pond. The inside of the box is split into nine sections. There is an inkpad in the center, and on the bottom half sections there is more gold detailing of rocks and plants.
