This horizontal rectangular miniature painting depicts the head and torso of a light-skinned woman in costume. She has her head turned slightly to our left as she gazes to our right. She has light brown curly hair, wears circular white earrings and a dark colored hat on the back of her head. She has dark brown eyes and eyebrows, and red lips. There is a gray and white ribbon tied about her neck. Her low-cut pale pink dress has gray and white bows down the front. Her sleeves are trimmed with fancy lace edging. Draped about her arm to our right is a red shawl that is trimmed in white fur that is also visible trailing behind her to our left. Her arm to our right rests on a blue colored tablecloth. She is seen against a medium bluish gray background. This miniature is displayed in a simple rectangular gold frame.
