Purchased by the art collector Gustave Dreyfus, Paris from the dealer in Frankfurt for Isabella Stewart Gardner.
Isabella Stewart Gardner purchased from Gustave Dreyfus, Paris on 31 May 1893 for 1000 francs through Ralph W. Curtis (1854–1922), American painter and collector.
Commentary
